(Practise conjugating the verb ‘to be’ in the present simple)

Present of ‘to be’ (am/is/are) – cloze test (difficulty: 2 of 5 – rather easy)

Fill the gaps with the correctly conjugated verb form of ‘to be’ in the simple present. If ‘not’ is given in brackets, you need to negate the sentence. Do not use any short forms.

  • Example: “John and Ella _____ on holiday.” (not) → “John and Ella are not on holiday.”
